 NOTTINGHAM — Authorities in Nottinghamshire are looking into a stabbing incident that occurred in the downtown area of Nottingham on Wednesday night.

Emergency responders were alerted to George Street at 5:51 PM following reports of an assault on a 16-year-old male. According to law enforcement, the young man suffered two stab wounds during the event.

Medical personnel provided immediate assistance at the location before transporting him by ambulance to a hospital for additional treatment. Officials have indicated that his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening or life-altering, and his family has been notified.

Investigators have secured the location as they work to uncover the details surrounding the attack. Detectives are engaging with witnesses and examining any CCTV recordings that may exist.
