Billings Senior High School Stabbing: Two Hurt, Large Police Presence at Campus in Billings, Montana

 BILLINGS, Mont. — A significant presence of Billings police vehicles arrived at Billings Senior High School on Tuesday evening in response to a reported stabbing involving a teacher and a student.

Billings Police Chief Rich St. John reported that the event took place on the third level of the school following a dispute between a teacher and a female student. Both parties were injured during the incident.

The teacher suffered a stab wound that is not life-threatening, according to Chief St. John. The student also received injuries. Both individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care, though their current health statuses have not been disclosed.

Around 5:20 p.m., about eight police cars were stationed outside the school, with several adjacent streets being cordoned off as officers worked to secure the area and investigate the situation.

The school initiated a temporary lockdown, directing students to stay in the gymnasium as a safety measure. At the time, two events — a concert and a wrestling match — were underway in the gym, leading to a high number of attendees on the school grounds.
