As reported by the Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on I-79 South, close to mile marker 122 in Jackson Township. The Mercer County Coroner's Office confirmed that Austin's cause of death was due to blunt force injuries sustained to his head and chest. His demise was classified as accidental. Additionally, one other person from the second semi-trailer was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, but their health status has not been disclosed. No other fatalities were reported in this incident.
